Q. How can you sell medications at lower prices than Wal-Mart?
A. Wal-Mart is offering the low $4 price that it unveiled in Florida in September 2006 on a fairly limited list of mostly older medications. Because the wholesale price of most of these drugs is so low, Wal-Mart still is making money. We have chosen to beat their price on the same medications as a way of introducing ourselves to price-conscious customers around the United States. At $3.79, we still expect to make a little money (though not as much as Wal-Mart).
Q. But your prices on virtually all prescription medications seem significantly lower than those of pharmacies like CVS and Walgreen's?
A. Most retail pharmacies fill the overwhelming majority of their prescriptions for customers with insurance cards whose only cost is their co-pay. These customers frequently have no idea how much the pharmacy is actually charging for their medications. Since we serve cash customers, our clients are keenly aware how much their medications cost -- and we have to keep our prices low to keep their business.
Q. Do you accept prescription cards or Medicare?
A. To keep our prices as low as possible, all medications we sell must be paid for in full at the time of purchase. However, we will send you a receipt that you can submit for insurance reimbursement if you are among those fortunate enough to have prescription coverage. We might also note that for many of our generic drugs, our low total price often is less than the co-pay that you would be charged at your neighborhood pharmacy.
Q. What types of medications do you sell?
A. We sell all types of prescription medications EXCEPT we do NOT sell pain pills (controlled substances). We also do not ship medications with strict temperature requirements. If you do not see a medication that you want advertised on our site, please either call one of our customer service representatives -- or send our pharmacist an email -- asking for a price quote. Ultimately, we hope to have the prices of most medications up on the site.
Q. How do you ship medication, and how long does it take to arrive?
A. We customarily ship most medication through the U.S. Postal Service. The total time from the receipt of your order to delivery to your home is generally about a week. For a slight additional fee, we sometimes are able to expedite.
Q. Do you ship outside of the United States?
A. We only fill orders for prescription drugs for persons residing in the United States. For non-prescription medications, we can ship to additional countries for a nominal shipping charge.
Q. Will the pharmacy keep a record of my prescription transactions?
| A. Our pharmacists will keep a complete record of your prescription transactions. Our pharmacy is HIPAA-compliant, and we promise total patient confidentiality and privacy. All information that you provide us is legally protected. We will never pass on any of this information, including your
email address, to any outside source. |
Q. Can I pay for my prescription online?
A. Yes! You may pay for your prescription by using our shopping cart and pay with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card which will be securely processed by Authorize.net. Or if you prefer, you can call our Toll Free Number and paying with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. If you would rather not use a credit card, you can mail us either a check or money order.
Q. Why do I need to provide my telephone number?
A. We are developing a system that will enable us to remind you when you need to renew your prescription. And to avoid any processing delays, our pharmacist may also use your phone number to contact you if there are any questions about your prescription.
Q. Why do I need to provide my email address?
A. With your e-mail address, we can provide you with confirmation of your transactions and alert you to special discounts on medications.
Q. Who can I call if I have a question or concern about my prescription?
A. Our pharmacists are available to help you. If you have a question or concern about your prescription, please call (561) 790-0479 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday, and ask to speak to a pharmacist.
Q. Who should I contact if there is a change in my home address or phone?
A. Please let us know prior to filling or refilling a prescription if there has been an address or phone change since your last order.
Q. Can I get a refund if it turns out that I did not need the medicine?
A. Sorry, but federal law bars any return or exchange of medications.
